I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
